The Marist Rugby Club continues to enjoy success on the field and with its administration year after year.

The Marist Rugby Club was established in 1992 to oversee and manage the administration aspects of rugby at the College. The aim is to improve the overall standing of rugby both within and outside the College. Marist Rugby Club is a strong and supportive organisation, run by parents, with the input of dedicated and professional College Staff. 

Marist College has a vibrant Rugby program which strives for excellence and always endeavours to be at the highest level of Australian Schoolboy Rugby. 

Rugby at Marist College starts at Under 10 level, progressing all the way through to Under 18, where the boys are be given every opportunity to excel and to represent the school, the ACT and Australian Schools. Marist Rugby will provide the support to help them on their way. In recent years there have been a number of significant highlights that demonstrate the continuing success of Marist Rugby, and are as follows: 
  
  • Over 420 boys play each season, covering 23 teams; 
  • Each year about 30 boys are elected for representative duties at the ACT & Australian Schools level; 
  • About 2/3rds of our teams progress through to the semi finals in the ACTJRU competition; 
  • About 1 in 5 teams progress to the ACT JRU grand finals with many of those coming away as premiers; 
  • Marist 1st XV winning the inter-school cup; 
  • The 1st XV are achieveing at least semi finalists in the ACT JRU competition 
  • Introduced ‘Coaches Development Officer’ role 
  • "Coach the Coaches" day held proving a great success for those coaches/parents that attended 
  • Club regularly finishes the financial year with a balanced budget and is in a good position for the future development of the club 
  • Financial commitment by the club to ensure new state-of-the-art and updated equipment to keep up with rugby developments
  • new training and playing footballs for each team each year
  • Conducted successful annual rugby dinner 
  • commitment to run a first class first-aid tent on Gala Home Days where boys are treated for minor injuries, often with a qualified Physiotherapist onsite for additional care of our boys, and 
  • Second-to-none BBQ and canteen services on Gala Home Games. 
 
As the journey progresses, we intend to build a solid relationship with our sponsors and combine our experiences with yours. We feel assured that the outcome of these experiences will result in a long term bond between you the sponsor and our club. 

We are able to offer the following packages. We would ask that you consider your involvement with the Marist Rugby Club and assist us in our journey into the continued development of the Rugby program. Your sponsorship will assist the club to finance our advancements that will assure the continuing high levels of participation and enjoyment of our boys who play rugby at the school.
